Why Local Growing Matters
Every community deserves access to fresh, healthy food grown close to home. CARE_FTL’s Food Equity Hub model makes that possible.
Our Food Equity Hubs bring together local growers, chefs, and community organizations to grow nutrient-rich produce where it is needed most. Using flexible, controlled-environment systems, these hubs grow food year-round with far less water and land than traditional farming.
Each hub is designed to do more than feed people — it empowers them. We partner with schools, food banks, and local leaders to create spaces where learning, workforce training, and food production come together for long-term community benefit.

Our hubs and community gardens use up to 90% less land by growing vertically. This allows neighborhoods, schools, and cities to grow meaningful amounts of food where farmland is disappearing.
