Food Equity Hubs
A Local Solution to Local Food Needs
Food Equity Hubs are small, community-based growing centers that bring fresh food, education, and opportunity directly to neighborhoods. Instead of relying on long supply chains and expensive distribution, these hubs produce healthy food close to home, where it’s needed most.
Why Food Hubs Matter
Every community deserves access to fresh, healthy food grown close to home.
CARE_FTL’s Food Equity Hub model makes that possible.

Food Equity Hubs grow nutrient-rich produce right where it’s needed — not miles away. By using sustainable, controlled-environment systems, these hubs grow clean, pesticide-free food year-round while using 95% less water, 90% less space, and producing harvests up to 3x faster than the traditional model.
Local growing matters because it:
-
Reduces food insecurity with consistent, hyperlocal harvests
-
Cuts carbon emissions by eliminating long-distance transport
-
Keeps food dollars circulating within the community
-
Strengthens local relationships between chefs, residents, and growers
-
Builds resilience by giving neighborhoods control over their own food supply
When food is grown within minutes of where it’s eaten, the entire community benefits.
Our Model
CARE_FTL builds community-driven, sustainable growing hubs designed to serve — and reflect — the people who live there.
We don’t overproduce, export, or compete with farmers.
We grow with the community, not over it.

Each hub is designed to:
-
Produce premium, hyperlocal greens and vegetables for CSA members, families, and residents
-
Supply local restaurants and hospitality partners with ultra-fresh, nutrient-rich produce
-
Feature nearby growers and makers — meat, dairy, berries, specialty items — strengthening the regional food economy
-
Donate 15–20% of harvests to schools, food banks, and community programs
-
Provide hands-on workforce development in the fast-growing $104B CEA industry
-
Demonstrate a clean, soil-free farming method that protects the land and uses minimal resources
Our goal:
To create a replicable, sustainable, community-centered model where food is grown locally, shared fairly, and reinvested into the neighborhood that helped grow it.
